
Optometrist Houston
Dr. Elizabeth Bell grew up in Warrensburg, Missouri and has been interested in a career in eye care since childhood. She attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She then went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. During her time at UH, Dr. Bell also completed her Master of Science degree studying improvements to optical corrections for patients with keratoconus and other corneal diseases. She has presented her research at several national conferences with the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Bell started with Diagnostic Eye Center as an optometry student extern, and after graduation joined the practice as a doctor. She enjoys treating patients with dry eye disease and corneal diseases like keratoconus by fitting specialty scleral contact lenses. She works closely with our surgeons in the co-management of cataract and LASIK surgery, and she enjoys keeping up with the latest research and technologies to bring state-of-the-art care to her patients.
